"Oh, I don't know," she says. "I guess I could introduce you to some of the guys I know."

She pauses for a second, and a sly grin crosses her face.

"Or, I could possibly hook you up with a couple girls that I know. Unless, of course, you have a girlfriend back home."

"No," you say. "I've actually never had a girlfriend."

"Are you serious? I can't believe it! You're such a hot guy!"

She turns a little red, and appears to be embarrassed that she has revealed her thoughts about you. She pauses for a moment and then continues.

"Listen, I mean ... You're just a really good-looking guy and you're very sweet. I'm sure the girls will really like you."

"Yeah, well, I guess I'll have to figure all that stuff out when I get there," you say.

She's watching you closely now and she looks directly at you.

"Listen, Sammy," she says, "I know this is going to sound a little weird, but would you like to come out with me and my friends tomorrow night? We're having a little party and maybe it would be a good place for you to get to know some people. I'd be happy to introduce you around."
