The woman is gone. Mentally, she's not in the same world as you, much less the same room. No matter what you try to snap her out of it, she stares staring at the floor and won't speak. You know there's nothing you can do for her, and Cassandra is absolutely right.
You don't go any further into the hospital. It's only going to be more trouble than it's worth. You dash out behind Cassandra, jump back in your car, and high-tail it away from the place.
You feel bad for the woman, but you doubt she'll even know you're gone.
