You counter, "Let us not forget the incident 23 years ago when Commander Sycia was drawn into a trap by pirates pretending to be a damaged ship. They led her ships into an asteroid field and captured one, damaging her other two."

"Then leave the craft, it's not even in our space."

How can you persuade Phogison?

You say:

• "They are drifting towards us and will reach our space in a few days"
• "Think of the good publicity we would get from rescuing those people!"
• Phogison isn't going to listen. Just take your own ships.
