A group of Nausicaans

Jadzia looked up at the faces of five Nausciaans. A shiver ran through her spine when she saw their disgusting faces.
"What have we got here?" asked the person whom she hit.
"My name is Dax, Lieutenant Commander of Starfleet," as she stood up.
"Dax! Lieutenant Commander of Starfleet!" the Nausicaans laughed hatefully, "all of Starfleet are cowards!"
"At least we don't stink!"

As she said it, she knew it was not wise. The five men looked gloomy and hostile. She wondered what she could say but then the Nausicaans attacked.
Does she win, lose, or does she try something else?
