The bartender hands you the bottle and you pay up, taking a swig and turning around slowly. The bear makes eye contact with you again from his table, and this time you raise your beer back at him. The daddy is still staring at you from the hallway, too, and he winks. Deeper into the room, you notice that there are two pool tables at the rear of the room, and a dart board. A stocky guy is standing apart from two guys playing pool, obviously waiting for his turn. He’s wearing workboots and a grass-stained t-shirt, and is probably around forty. You can’t really make out his features from here, though.
Damn! The Midtown pub is a veritable feast! You wonder who to chat with first.
