Swim to the lagoon's bottom

You swim effortlessly downward, your new body obviously made for moving through water. You reach the golden sands at the bottom and settle down as if you were lounging on the beach. The remains of a wooden sign are lying on the ground. Time and tide has stripped much of the paint from it, but you can still read the words "Mermaid's Lagoon" on it, barely.
A mermaid with orange hair and an orange tail swims up to you.
"Hello!" she says brightly. "I don't think I've seen you around the lagoon before. I'm Seira."
