Ask Captain Highmore if the rumors are true

Captain Highmore comes over and greets you. Without wasting any time, you ask if it’s true that the Pirate Captain James Whitlock is really in the city.
“He is indeed Miss Beech,” Captain Highmore tells you. “But don’t tell anyone, we don’t want to cause a panic.”
“And is he really after one of the merchants?” you ask him.
“We’re not really sure why he is in the city, but there is no need for you to worry. The Royal Navy will catch him,” Captain Highmore says. “Would like me to escort you out to your carriage?”
You nod, and he takes you out to the street and hands you into your carriage. However, once you’re inside, you realize that it’s not your carriage at all! It starts to roll down the street, and in the darkness inside the carriage, you can just make out a figure holding a gun at you!
“Who are you? Where are you taking me?”
“That’s none of your concern. We’re just taking what’s ours,” the man answers
“But why are you taking me?”
“Because your father owes Captain Whitlock.”
