UYW Battle for the Belt (2008) was a backyard wrestling interpromotional supershow event produced by Unbelievable Youth Wrestling (UYW) in conjuction with ETTW. The show was originally scheduled to take place on November 30, 2008 but due to weather conditions it was post-poned to the dates between December 13-14, 2008 in Buffalo, New York.
The main event featured on the card was a UYW Championship match between ETTW's Matt Demorest and UYW's Twist. Matches on the undercard included Joey Adams versus Andrew Blayre for TAW Championship, and TKO versus Randy Flame for ETTW Championship.

Background
The predominant feud heading into Battle for the Belt was between ETTW's Matt Demorest and UYW's Twist, who challenged Demorest to a match with the UYW Championship hanging in the balance. The rivalry ignited when an arrogant Twist began uploading videos online comically imitating Demorest and his demeanor, claiming that Demorest was "overrated", manifesting to want to show Demorest up in defeating him to prove it. Demorest countered with some of his own travesty of Twist. The challenge was set in motion subsequently as Demorest accepted for whenever time. The supershow the match would take place on was confirmed in passing weeks, while suspense continued to build at the wait of the confrontation.
