Pauly made his debut for Blood Sweat & Tears in September of 2009, losing to long time rival Jack Havoc. Even though he lost, at the BST supershow "No Remorse" Pauly was chosen to replace Papa Josh, who was sick, in the main event against The Icon. Pauly ended up losing this match, and afterward was attacked by The Calling. The next week he defeated Joe Creed to earn a shot at the BST Heavyweight Championship at End of the Line. Over the next few weeks Pauly fought against Calling member Jack Havoc. A week before End of the Line Richards teamed with Joe Creed to take on The Calling. After the match The Icon announced that their title match would be a ladder match. At End of the Line Pauly Richards defeated The Icon to claim his first BST Heavyweight Championship. This celebration was short lived though, because during the match Pauly suffered a shoulder injury that forced him to give up the title. Pauly was out of action for a little while.

Pauly made his return to BST as the mystery opponent for Joe Creed in the first round of the destiny tournament. He ended up losing this match. The next night Pauly won a number one contender fatal four way match in a questionable decision over D-Blaze. The next week he faced D-Blaze for the title shot at Rise of the Fallen, which he ended up losing. Before the match he debuted his new tag team, The MTN DEW Extremists, with Matt Carlson. It was announced the following week that a four man tournament would take place in which the winner got a heavyweight title shot. In the first round Pauly defeated his rival The Icon to advance and face Jack Havoc, who beat Pauly's partner Matt Carlson, at Rise of the Fallen for a shot at the BST Heavyweight Championship.

At Rise of the Fallen Pauly defeated Jack Havoc in a hardcore match to become the number one contender for the BST Heavyweight Championship. Later during the main event The MTN DEW Extremists interfered in the match by attacking D-Blaze with stereo kicks followed by the KO Klutch. The next week Pauly faced David Sinn for the first time ever, with fellow Sinn City Society member Papa Josh as the special referee. Sinn defeated Pauly by giving him the Sinnagree onto a chair. At Revenge Pauly faced off against Joe Creed in a match for the BST Heavyweight Championship. The match ended with Creed hitting Richards with a superkick in mid-air.

On November 26th 2010 Pauly Richards wrestled The Icon for the BST Intercontinental Title. After hitting Comatose he scored the 3 count to become the new champion. In April 2011 BST officially returned. In his first match as champion Pauly was defeated by Blazin' Jet via frog splash. Jet was set to challenge for the BST Intercontinental Championship at Glory, however the fed ceased operations before this match could take place. Pauly would go down as the final BST Intercontinental Champion.

BWA (2010)

Other than BST, Pauly Richards has competed for BWA/FWA. He made his debut there in May of 2010 where he defeated fellow BST wrestler Jack Havoc. His next apperance in the fed came at BWA 5th Anniversary: Supercard of Destiny where he teamed with Jack Havoc, they wrestled under the name The Twins. They ended up losing to the team of Calvin Storm and CJ Smith. On August 10th Pauly faced and beat AO by giving him Rebirth. At BWA's final show on September 4th Pauly lost in a hard fought match to Jason Witzel.

He made his RWA debut at their first show on October 17th 2010 where defeated The Icon and Joe Creed in the main event of the show, he won by hitting his new finisher Comatose on the Icon. In a private match Pauly defeated Jack Havoc to be crowned the fist ever NBWA World Heavyweight Champion. At The After Party Pauly took on Jason Witzel in a rematch from BWA: The Final Goodbye, Pauly beat Witzel by hitting Comatose and retaining his NBWA World Heavyweight Championship. The next supershow took place on December 26th he reunited with Jack Havoc as The Scharnhorst Bros to take on Team Awesome. Pauly scored the pinfall on General Joe after hitting Comatose.

In March 2011 The Twins teamed up at CCW: Burn This City. Day 1 they took on Kentucky's UnderRated and lost. Day 2 the team had two matches. First they defeated 13 Views from HWC, and in the main event they teamed with Chongo, Mike Wonder, and AO to take on The Awakening. Pauly was eliminated second by Shooter after taking a Larry White Driver.

On March 25, 2011 Pauly announced that he had vacated the NBWA World Heavyweight Championship due to "lack of interest if the website." Pauly is set to debut for the returning NIWA at the next show. He is set to continue teaming with Bret as a member of The Twins. The Twins also take part in The Prototype's Midwest Wrestling Alliance.

As a member of The Twins, Pauly travelled down to Indiana for two shows on May 28th and 29th. The first day the duo made their debut in Indiana Championship Wrestling. However their tag team match with Chris Castle and Executioner was cut short when two memebers of -\wakening, Devin Bliss and Bsnow, attacked the brothers forcing a no-contest. Day two they teamed up once again to claim the GBYWN Midwest Tag Team Championships from the UnKnown at MWA 2. Following that steller weekend Rick competed against Train from DWA at NIWA: The Return of Illinois BYW but ended up losing via Train's diamond dust finisher. To close out 2011 Rick and Bret defended their Midwest Tag Titles against Team Awesome at BWA 6th Anniversary. In there final match of 2011 Rick teaming, with Bret and Khatonic, defeated the team of James Infinity, Wrenagade, and JM at BYF 11.

For the first time in almost a year Rick and Bret traveled to Indiana to wrestle at MWA 7. In a hard hitting match the team lost to the newly formed Awesome Intentions (General Joe and Happy Psycho). Directly after the match under the order of Rad Hazard the team of Tommy Tenacious and The Prototype faced and defeated The Scharnhorst Brothers to become the new GBYWN Midwest Tag Team Champions. This act from Rad was in response to Rick defeating the newest member of the Radical Movement Zaq Cass at MWA 4. At MWA 9 the duo was set for a rematch for the Midwest Tag Team championship. That match was altered when King BW added Tomato Juice to the match. This addition proved beneficial to Tomato Juice when Mikee pinned Rick to claim the belts. MWA 12 marked Rick's final match when he was revealed as the 6th member of the 6 man battle royal. Scharnhorst eliminated Tristen Parker with some assistance from rival Mikee. Shortly after this however Rick was pinned after an Adam Black jawbreaker. This marked the end of Rick's nearly 6 year backyard wrestling career.

Post BYW

Currently Rick is engaged and living in Pensacola, FL as a member of the United States Navy. When asked if he would ever make a return to MWA or any other BYW fed Rick simply stated "Never say never".
