Theme/Prompt: Among the Regulars, a Witch's Biography

Miss Althea Gibbons walked slowly down the sidewalk on a Sunday afternoon. The sun shone brightly and the breeze was warm, but she couldn't get the feeling out of her bones that the weather was about to change. Each time she passed a young mother pushing a carriage she would overcome her reluctance to speak to strangers and warn the young mother that the weather looked like changing and that she had better hurry home with her child.
Most of the mothers looked around with the worried look that only a new young mother can manage and hurried away. Some, laughed gaily at the very old woman in gray dress and black overcoat rolling their eyes as if to say, you couldn't be sillier on this beautiful day.
Miss Gibbons continued her walk from street side into the park near her home. When she crossed into the park the first cloud covered the sun and the first chill enter the formerly warm breeze. The old woman reached into the pocket of her plain gray cotton dress and pulled out a small change purse. With a quick look around to make sure no one was near she opened the change purse and pulled out a full size rain coat and umbrella. Miss Gibbons could have done without rain coat or umbrella. A small rhyme about rain and Miss Gibbons could have walked home without a drop of rain touching her, but the regulars tended to look askance at things like that. And if there was anything Miss Gibbons had learned in 225 years it was not to get the regulars looking askance at you.
