Background
The heroes found an old book in a crypt while on the Quest of the Coin. Bob was able to translate the Ancient Zoan script, which led him to believe there was a sizable treasure to be had in a mausoleum near the crypt.
Task
Seek out and recover the treasure of the Hiereeds.
Terms
Bob has advanced the heroes 2500 gp credit each to equip themselves for the quest. Bob gets 15% of whatever treasure the heroes recover from the mausoleum.
Notes
The mausoleum is located within a few hundred yards of the crypt, but it is unmarked and no path leads to it.
The family crest of the Hiereeds is a black asp on a red background.
Development
Statues guard the tomb, but warnings at the entrance indicate that those bearing a dead body for burial may enter safely. The heroes did so by borrowing a sarcophagus from the mansion crypt. They bypassed the guardians but left them intact.
Other creatures in the mausoleum included a wraith and a black pudding; the heroes destroyed both of these. The mausoleum was heavily trapped, but Whittney was able to find and disarm most of the traps, which may now be considered safe.
Treasure included a wealth of coins, scrolls, potions, two magic rods and two enchanted swords. The heroes are on their way back to Bob to identify and evaluate the treasure and to divvy it up.
