[edit] Appearance

Though Lythe's build could be described as thin, it is not obscenely so, and in fact his muscles are well-defined after years of continuous work. His hair, though blonde, is of such a fair shade that it would almost seem to be tinted silver at a casual glance. His eyes are an unmistakable steel blue, and seldom waver in intensity. These eyes have yet to meet another pair that didn't avert gaze.

His armor is colored a deep crimson, and is practically always polished to perfection. His sword is holstered at his left side, with his axe strapped onto his back, tucked into his shield. In spite of this seemingly heavy gear Lythe is able to carry himself with a perfectly upright posture, presenting himself with an air of refinement. It is this strangely dignified air for a simple warrior that gains him the respect of his comrades.

[edit] Biography

Growing up, there was nobody who Lythe respected more than his father. Of course, this could be partially because he was raised without a mother (She was ill even when she gave birth to him, and the stress of doing so turned out to be her undoing in the end). Even so, Lythe never found himself wanting, as his father seemed perfectly capable of single-handedly raising the boy.

And he was. Under his father's eye Lythe became a surprisingly independent boy, and by the time he was seventeen he was practically supporting himself, making a living through manual labor chores for various citizens. His father trained him in swordsmanship, a skill he excelled in. Lythe picked up on these talents astonishingly fast, able to hold his own against his dad at the age of eighteen. It was good that he'd gained so much from his father by this point.

The day before Lythe turned nineteen, his father simply vanished. No explanation, no note, not even a hint. Lythe simply woke up, and never found him again. Unable to comprehend what he interpreted as an utter betrayal of his trust, Lythe took up his sword and left, his occupation switching to hired blade for the next three years. His life simply became fighting, and he soon knew little else besides fighting and keeping himself alive. Along the way he began training with an axe, though these skills have yet to come to the same fruition as his swordsmanship.

One month ago, Lythe became sick of fighting for nobody but himself, and found himself in need of a true purpose for combat. Desperate for reason, he enrolled into the Ainori army, where his nigh-peerless close-combat skills earned him a position directly on the border between his country and Illyria, where he is still located. Though his search for reason was completed, he still secretly yearns for more. Inside, he knows he wants to find his father; this is a desire he will never allow himself to express.
