Julius is a tall man measuring in at 6'5" tall and weighing over two hundred pounds. He keeps his black hair trimmed short to keep it out or his equally black eyes during battle. He keeps himself in excellent condition, training daily with multiple weapons to keep his skills as sharp as his blades. His armor is a sickly shade of green-grey with black trim. Multiple runes have been carved and painted into the armor, mostly for decoration but many also hold heretical overtones. His helmet has been sculpted to look like a human skull, though sharp fangs have been added to the jaw line and three crests rise up from the center and sides of the mask.

Julius Shadler is the younger brother of Thane Beniah Shadler, he has therefore received extensive training as an armored knight since he was old enough to support the weight of the plates and handle a mount. He trained with his older brother under the watchful eye of their father, the late Rackus Shadler. Under his tutelage they were taught to handle lance and axe while on foot. Julius found that he preferred horseback so he moved away from the heavier armor of knight opting for the slightly lighter armor worn by cavaliers. His father was slightly disappointed in his decision but gave his youngest son his blessing.
Julius had begun to make a name for himself within the ranks of the mounted men of the Shadler Thanedom, and even received promotion to the rank of Paladin. However, his illustrious career was cut short by the death of his father. Beniah took hold of the estate and consolidated his power and influence, leaving his younger brother with nothing. Being rejected by his own brother and spurned by his former companions was more than he could bear. He departed his homeland for realms unknown, taking only his horse and armaments with him.
Reasons for Joining the Dark Brotherhood: Julius joined the Dark Brotherhood as a way to survive. A lone man with no resources wouldn't last long without support; the Brotherhood offered him just that. As time progressed however, he saw the group as a means to exact revenge upon those who had shamed him, casting him aside without a second thought. He knew the day would come when he could reveal his identity to his friends-turned-enemies and then enjoy the look on their faces as they slowly died on the end of his blade.
