Nation: Tavrica

Rank: Bassist

Age: 26

Height: 63

Weight: 185 lbs

[edit] Personality

Unlike the typical Tavrican, Grii has adopted a more silent and colder persona. Disliking almost all people, save those in the Band, Grii usually prefers to ignore those he chooses to be undeserving of his attention. Aside from his leader Minar, and more recently, the other members of the Band, Grii tends to snub and coldly insult everyone around him. Towards Minar though, Grii holds nothing but the utmost respect, finding the violinist to be a true master of musical magicks, and an inspiration to all musicians, himself included. Towards the other members of the Band, Grii is polite and willing to engage in small talk, though he is not yet comfortable enough to relax himself completely when amongst them. He has long since accepted his place at Minars side, gladdened toperformalongside such a master of the arts. Grii is logical, to the point of seeming heartless, though he truly only has Minars and the Bands best interests at heart. Content with his life in the Band, he is willing to do whatever it takes to further the Band, and Minar.

[edit] Appearance

Grii is among the taller of Tavrican men, with pale skin from residing in his familys estate most of his life and a lean body from basic archery. His dark-brown hair is long and in a ponytail that ends near the small of his back. Tied to the end of his ponytail is a small knife, for the few times his opponents draw near. He is garbed in dark-blue loose silken pants and an equally dark-green long-sleeved silk shirt, with various belts across his chest and torso. His most distinguishing apparel is the small pair of glasses that rest along the edge of his nose. His face is thin and sharp, and his eyes are cold dark-blue, giving him an almost unapproachable look like that of a wolf.

[edit] Background

Grii was born to a lesser Tavrican noble family, granted their status by an ancestor's deeds long ago. As a small child, Griis parents had him taught the basics of archery that most Tavricans were known for. However, he had no apparent talent for the bow, something that caused his parents much anguish. To their surprise, one day they found Grii playing a bass instrument that theyd purchased long ago. His playing mesmerized them, to the point that they were in a slight daze until the moment that he stopped playing. They instantly halted all their plans for advanced archery, removing all but the basic training for the classes of playing music.

For years, Grii was taught all that he could be taught about music, until there were no more bards to teach him. His parents then moved to certain sages and virtuosos, hiring from around the world to further their childs skill, for they had been making much money from having him play in concerts. Griis classes continued, his teachers finding his natural affinity for the Earth and following that, teaching him how to infuse that Earthen magick with his playing. Soon, Grii was not only playing beautiful music at concerts to earn his parents money, but also moving in assassination attempts with mercenary groups, lending his deadly magick alongside them.

However, his being taught in classes most of his life led the 19 year old Grii to have few friends, in fact, the only friend he had was a young woman of whom he loved. Both were happy together, but when Grii went to his parents to announce his desire to marry her, his parents reacted in rage. Before his very eyes, Griis father cut down his young love, before turning on Grii and forcing him to a wall. Griis father demanded for Grii to continue his playing, and to forget all about other trivialities. After a moment, Grii agreed and his father let him go, shoving him outside the manor. For a while, Grii merely stood in front of his familys estate, glaring at the building and the people he knew to be inside. Finally, he returned to his own home, where he had hoped to bring his late love to live with him, and retrieved his instrument. Returning to the front of the estates gates, Grii called out to his mother and father. They came and stood at the front door, confused as to why Grii was standing before them, his bass guitar in hand. Retreating back a few miles, Grii turned back towards the estate and lifted his guitars bow. He smiled coldly at the estate, closed his eyes and began playing, infusing his magic into his music. Almost instantly, the Earth began to shake, and stalagmites began to pierce the estate, tearing the land apart in savage abandon. As his song ended, Grii opened his eyes to bear witness to the end of his past. Before him lay ruins of what used to be his home, the land torn asunder and jagged rocks protruding from the ground. He smirked at the destruction and hefted his supplies that hed taken from his once home, already moving towards a horse that hed also recovered.

He traveled away from Tavrica, moving from country to country, taking mercenary jobs for money until one day he received a summons from another Virtuoso, offering him a job as a permanent member of a mercenary group of fellow Virtuosos. Readily accepting, he quickly moved to the location specified in the summons, where he was welcomed by the founder and leader, Minar Moroso. As time went by, 3 others joined Minar Morosos Traveling Band of Bards and they grew strong and skilled, finally taking a job at assassinating the leadership of a guild that their leader hated.

Feeling that it was just, the Band arrived at the Guildhall, and began to play.

All Hell broke loose.

And Griis cold grin grew wider.
