Daren was always content with whatever he had. He was a kind person, regardless of who was talking to, unless of course, he was in battle. He was a fierce general and a solid tactician. He threw his normal personality aside when he was in battle. He would kill a soldier with no regrets and wouldn't feel content till every single foe was defeated.

Daren has bronze hair, like most of his family. He was a uninterested look in his face, with a scar over his right eye. He wears a purple trenchcoat, with a red trim, which is buttoned up. He wears purple pants and leather boots. His sheath is tied to his waist.

Daren was born into the Hyperion family, which, as tradition, was expected to join the military. His twin brother, Maddox, was being trained by their grandfather, Ludwig Hyperion, in a peculiar sword style he uses. Daren was taught by his father, in the fine art of fencing. He seemed to excel in it.
When he and his brother became 17, his brother, Maddox, left to start training for the military, which was early for a Hyperion. However, a year later, Daren become 18 and took an Estoc from his fathers collection of weapons and started training. During his travels, he encountered many bandits, which he finished off quickly. He helped a lot of people and became strong.
At 21, he had returned home, where he received a trenchcoat and entered the army. He was grouped into the infantry, alongside his brother. When he saw his brother, he only was able to recognize him by his trenchcoat. He and his brother competed to see who would be on top, and they both rose up the ranks. Daren became a General, and commanded his own unit, with Maddox his second in command. Due to recent events, it seems that Endal will soon become neutral in any wars that would take place. This didn't sit well with Maddox, as Daren felt okay with it. Daren's unit was sent to stop a revolt in one of the towns on the border. When they arrived at the scene, Daren allowed Maddox to take twenty men and charge in. After a short while, Daren took the rest of the unit in and finished off the remaining men. He finally found Maddox, who was one the verge of passing out. He saw the commander, which he later found out was a relative, dead. Maddox took his sword and shield and left. Daren knew if he tried to stop him, it would only result in death. He took Maddox's Katzbalger and returned home. He left the sword in his house.
Soon after his brothers disappearance, Daren's wife had his son, Shad, and Maddox's wife had Lennox. For the next ten years, Daren trained Shad in fencing, while Lennox was sent to train with another soldier. After ten years, Daren retired and spent time with his son and nephew and continued training Shad. When Shad became 18, he was too sick to leave, and Daren kept him from leaving. He saw Lennox off and for the next year, he trained Shad some more. When Shad became 19, he saw him off and finally relaxed.
Shortly after Shad left for training, Daren encountered three siblings, claiming to be related to him. He didn't believe them at first, as their explanation seemed far fetched. However, he gave them a chance, as their hair color was the same as his. He gave them the clothes and he went and checked his family tree to see his granduncle left Cercium many years ago. With that, he was convinced that the three wouldn't ruin the Hyperion name.
A few years later, Lennox returned home and Daren gave him a trenchcoat and he went to enlist. Daren worried about Shad returning home in time to enlist, and almost last second, Shad returned home and Daren gave him his trenchcoat and watched him off to enlist. Daren, now 51, was finally able to relax. However, he wanted to fight again. He reenlisted and was given a position as a general. However, with the departure of Emperor Aurieus Cyrus Darius, the newly assigned emperor, Derek Veseromius de Montrierre, picked him to one of his sub-commanders.
