Cassiel

A cult centering around Valistrix, the Cassians have managed to evade the Endal Empire and others because of the isolationistic ways. Nestled in the mountains by the Sea of Keros, the Cassians have remained protected since the end of the Sundering. Their ancestors were followers of Valistrix, and to this day, the customs of their cult have continued. Valistrix is venerated as a god, and demands offerings of still-beating hearts, which are ripped from the hearts of human sacrifices. One of the main reasons Cassiel has survived is fortification; anyone who has attacked it has been repelled.
