The Gullwings

The Gullwings are a group of friends that are named respectively after their Final Fantasy X/X-2 counterparts. They all know each other In Real Life (tm) and are very close.

History

Yuna met Rikku and Wakka in their Japanese Culture and Society course during Yuna's freshman year (Rikku and Wakka's sophomore) of college. During the next school year while living in the Bikanel Desert, Yuna stopped Rikku in the hallway and asked her if she didn't mind teaching the young Summoner how to Para Para Dance. Rikku agreed and the two became friends. Later through each other, Yuna would meet Wakka and Kimahri and Paine would meet Rikku, then Kimahri and Paine would meet Wakka. The two groups, once separated, then became very close friends.

During the summer of 2005, Yuna and Rikku departed for Shanghai and Kimahri and Wakka would end up rooming together for the summer. This would repeat when Yuna and Rikku left for Taiwan during summer 2006. Over time, Rikku, Wakka, Kimahri, and Paine would consider and proudly call themselves the Guardians of Yuna.

Present

Four of the five Gullwings reside in Plan B. The only one who doesn't is Rikku, but she comes over and visits often.

Future

In the summer of 2007, all members of the Gullwings shall attend the three-month study abroad in Shanghai, but Yuna will remain in Shanghai when the trip ends and the four others will return to the United States (Rikku and Wakka may go to Taipei either that year or the following; it has yet to be decided). This, however, is not the end of their friendship and never WILL be the end of their friendship. They shall keep in touch.
