Koura

From Hyrule

Koura is the Golden Gerudo, an exiled member of the female desert tribes, and a powerful companion of Alpha's.

[edit] History

Early in her life, Koura's mother was killed as a result of her disagreement with bowing down to Ganon, and Koura was left to wander the streets of Parapa Village alone. In time she was found and adopted by Nyra, the Golden Gerudo, who decided to train the kind-hearted girl to be her successor. However, the twosome were always in controversy with the leading Gerudo as well, and soon enough were exiled from the village. They used the Shrine of Spirit as their temporary home before Nyra could locate a suitable cave for them to call home. In the years to come, Nyra would die of old age and Koura would inherit the Gerudo Goldforce. She also continued to care for Nyra's best friend, a hawk by the name of Skye.

[edit] Force of Gold

When Horohn was killed by Zaboorak and the Hakiems, the Rito broadcast the events leading to his death out to the other Golden Ones, Koura included. As a result, Zaris decided to go into hiding once more and employed Koura to keep an eye on the adventurers when they sought out the clues hidden in Parapa Desert. In her mind, that was supposed to be last time she ever had contact with any of them.

However, in time, she would become an instrumental part of the team. After saving Alpha and Calla from a sandstorm in Parapa, she led a group of adventurers back into the Gerudo town to obtain medicine for a sick Calla, and after aiding in the false Wraith's defeat led them to a possible hiding spot for Zaris, the Shrine of Spirit. There she was forced to reveal herself as the Golden Gerudo in order to defeat Xamnial the Beastmaster; with her secret exposed, it was actually safer for her to join the group in returning to North Castle. One week later, she was interrogated by General Richarn Noval and aided her fellow Golden One in freeing the castle from the Hakiems' control.

[edit] Personality

Koura has a very enjoyable personality...especially for males, as the Gerudo has her race's oft-found trait of teasing and attempting to seduce males. She normally directs her attempts towards Alpha, both because he seems immune to her charms and because doing so infuriates Shada - more often because of the latter than the former. It is ambiguous as to if she actually has any feelings for Alpha, or just acts this way to get on Shada's nerves. But she is more than happy to put these playful tendencies aside when the situation is serious.

She is slightly timid when it comes to using the Gerudo Goldforce, but is willing to employ its ferocious power when the situation calls for it.
