Art of Arëdighùan

Arëdighùani art is the art of the nation of Arëdighùan. The Art of Arëdighùan has over time come to mean not only the art of the Original Norric Settlers, and their decendants, but also the original Shakrihl People of Arëdighùan. Styles and methods vary, but art has a long and cultured history in Arëdighùan, artists are held in high esteem.

History

Prehistory

The oldest art in Arëdighùan is from the Proto-Shakrihl that left early cave drawings, sucluptures, and primitive monuments. Begining as early as ???? BCE, early Shakrihl artisans began crafting things with their hands, a legacy that survives in many places to this day.

The Eller people, one of the most advanced tribs in Taria, skilled in metal refining, were the first to start creating early metal scupltures and idols, usually statuetts of Gods and Godess's to being good fortune to a household.

With the Arrival of the Haardic Settlers to Taria in ????, the native art was radically affected by the influx of foriegn ideas and concepts.

Colonial Era

11th century: The Republic

Beginning in the 11th century, the Aredighuani school of painting is believed by some to be the first distinctly Aredighuani Paintings are art. Before then, most of the paintings were made in purely Haardic Style. With the emergence of a distinct style, artisans around the nation were encouraged, even with the threat of Government Censorship and interdiction, to create newer and more ground breaking works of art.

Late 11th century – early 12th century

Revolution to Current

During and after the revolution, innumerable amounts of artwork relating to the Storre Lucht and the Republic of , was either confiscated or destroyed by dissendents, revolutionaries, or during the Civil War.

Afterwards, largely thanks to Yrjänä's son, ???? desire to recreate much of the culture that had been destroyed before and during the revolution. Artists were encouraged to paint murals for Church's, and other buildings, murals became common place. In this period, known sometimes as the Cultural Re-Birth. It is during this period that any and all forms of art florished in Arëdighùan.
