Julia Nicole was born on April 26, 2004 at her parents' home in Milwaukie, Oregon, in a room they called "the purple room". Her personality began to emerge at about the age of one and a half. At first very shy, Julia was always a fun-loving, sweet kid who seemed to understand the world around her unusually well for a toddler. Following her sister Kathryn's example, Julia has progressively become less shy and more rambunctious, but has maintained her sunny personality and is generally an easy child.

Although pressed less than her sister and therefore lagging behind her somewhat in learning the alphabet and other measures of early learning, Julia has always been amazingly verbal. While not as frequent a talker as her non-stop sister, Julia from early on has used full sentences, adding details, clauses, and conditionals one isn't used to hearing from one so small.

She loves books, music, dancing, the playground, and other children. She has an infectious laugh and a glorious, dimpled smile. When she's in a good mood, which is most of the time, she's a cure-all for bad moods everywhere.
