DXX

Mayhem

In June 2008 he returned to the reformed WWE now known as DXX in a special edition of Friday Night Mayhem in Iraq to commentate. Since then alongside Lily Aurora and Cowboy Ivan he has become the second official Play-By-Play commentator currently in Mayhem and the third commentator on the desk.It was assumed his popularity and unbiased calling of the matches caused for general manager, Carari Grey ,to bring him back. Foley uses his wrestling experiences during matches and unlike Lily or Ivan is unbiased in who he prefers, though there have been some hints that he prefers face superstars as opposed to heels. He has said he is working under DXX as a member of staff not a an active wrestler. Despite this on the 8th August edition of Mayhem, Foley was forced to fight Ted DiBiase Jr. who had become increasingly involved with Carari Grey. Despite a hard fought battle it was the Million Dollar Dream locked in by young DiBiase that got him the win, much to the amusal of co-commentator Cowboy Ivan.

In late September, when Nabeel Nawaz celebrated his first month as General Manager of Mayhem, he celebrated by firing Foley, much to the delight of Mick's co-worker, Ivan.

Massacre

Despite release from the company, on the 20th October-almost a month after his release- Foley returned as a guest star on Massacre helping Matt Hardy win the DXX Hardcore Championship.

DXX Rated

Shortly after his guest appearance, Foley completed his rounds of the DXX brand by appearing on DXX Rated, he reformed to his old alias Mankind for the occasion. This was later confirmed to be a one off occasion at Foley's request.
