Chax Karin is a Swara bastet with an unhealthy addiction to caffeine. Meeting Robert during the course of his awakening to his true nature, the only early thing I can remember him doing is sleeping with a diabolic nephandus and meeting his spirit mentor the King of Cats down in mexico. Later he was invited to Julia's gallery opening in Seattle, and helped Robert defeat the infernal nephandus who was using the paintings to spread hate and prejudice.

Due to their respective natures, Ian at first was scared shitless of Chax. This eventually changed to slight unease after Ian learned he was the more experienced werecreature and could easily kick Chax's ass if the need ever arrived. The ratkin doesn't brag about it.. much.
