You force the captured sailors to walk the plank one by one and dive in the piranha-infested waters of the Rio Amarillo, while Maria watches in mute horror. After this little bit of piratey entertainment, you turn to your captive.
"Where does your father live?" you ask her.
"Cinzaporto," she answers, her face still pale. "It's a small Portuguese colony on the coast of Brazil."
"I know this place," says Father Pedro. He shows it to you on a map. "See, it's several days away from here. I'm not sure it's even worth it."
"But my father is rich!" Maria insists. "He'll make it worth your while."
