Go inside to get Ling to go elsewhere for gas

You decide to go in and warn Ling of the potential danger. As you enter into the supermarket you find Ling casing through a list of items and you abruptly warn her of danger approaching. As she turns you see the vehicle approaching the front of the gas station and three men in mask immediately get out. It’s too late to run out the front so immediately you begin to look around for a rear exit hoping that the both of you can make it out alive. As the men enter the store they immediately pull out weapons and you sense it’s a stick up. What is strange to you is that the men are eerily calm as they hold their machetes in their hand. At this moment you and Ling are near the edge of the store to the rear and it would take a few moments for any of the assailants to reach you. You and Ling instinctively duck for cover and you only have about 20 seconds to make your decision. As a trained martial artist you are prepared for encounters such as this however, you did notice that none of the assailants had firearms. The store clerk may or may not have a weapon and even if he does he may not have time to use it. Do you chance confronting the assailants? Ling tells you that during her tenure in the station she stopped in the restroom in the rear and there is an emergency door to exit. You inform her that if they leave its possible the store clerk is good as dead.
