Yamato Ishida; in depth before Yamato came to Purgatory, him being played post Digimon: 02.

Currently living in a small apartment by himself, Yamato is working for his close friend Mimi Tachikawa. He's a sales associate for her clothing shop. This creates an interesting dynamic between the two characters- mainly because of his personal life. Yamato, being a teenager who perfers to keep his private life private, has a difficult time doing that when he has to tell her why he's requesting time off from work.

Though they are both older now, he still fights with his long tim best friend Taichi Yagami. Their fights and general rivalry has caused massive craters in the group dynamic since arriving to Purgatory. One of the larger, more detrimental disagreements involved Taichi walking in on a rather intimate scene between Yamato and Sora when coming for a visit. Of course, this was cleared up at a later time, and they still remain friends.

Generally, Yamato prefers to be alone. However, he doesn't mind speaking his opinion- especially when provoked. When provoked aggressively, he has the tendency to become defensive at times.

He still enjoys music, still plays bass guitar. He recently picked up harmonica again. He is also seeing Sora Takenouchi exclusively.
