L. Ray Smith and the Purify Fire

From Bubblegum Wiki

L. Ray Smith self proclaimed non-denominationalist believes that repentance alone without baptism will only get you to Heaven. This is wrong, however I do believe of what he says on his website.

Here's what he says:

God has many attributes, powers, knowledge, etc., that obviously mankind DOES NOT. But, God DOES WANT us to have those same attributes, especially LOVE!

Okay so God really wants us to hate others?

"All evil including DEATH itself will be abolished when God..."

This guy doesn't know that the term "death" is not literal. Even though "death" is mentioned throughout the bible, it's not a literal term, it's referred to a spiritual death as in if those who died without being baptized, the flesh cannot feel spiritual fire and the soul/spirit cannot feel literal fire. Since the Lake of Fire known as Hell is spiritual, the flesh can't go there because when the flesh dies it goes back to the dust/dirt, after that the soul/spirit goes to Judgment. The bible says that it is appointed onto man who wants to die (physically) but after this the (soul/spirit goes) to Judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Flesh is not a spirit, the human soul is.

God WILLS that ALL mankind be SAVED" (I Tim. 2:4).

Apparently, Jesus says that he will only find a few who believe in him and be baptized.

God ABSOLUTELY has raised up people for the EXPRESS PURPOSE OF SINNING so that God could show His power in the earth by simply CONTRAST.

God did not raised people to express their purpose of sinning. If He did, then God would be a sinner. Since God doesn't sin, He doesn't approve the expression of sin.

"THE TRINITY--The Christian doctrine of God (q.v.) as existing in three Persons and one Substance is NOT DEMONSTRABLE BY LOGIC OR BY SCRIPTURAL PROOFS..."

Quite true. However, Jesus is God of the physical and spiritual.

God's primary purpose is to have SONS AND DAUGHTERS

God is a spirit, not flesh. He cannot procreate, just like the angels and the Devil. Has L. Ray been reading the Da' Vinci Code? I'm beginning to think this guy was a Mormon.

All the prophecies of Matt. 24 have NOT been fulfilled as yet. "Except those days were shorted, no flesh at all would be saved alive" (Matt. 24:22).

That verse in Matthew 24:22 is not literal, not just that this world will end, but a person's fleshly life will end. Plus the word "days" is referring to a person's lifespan. As we can expect that denominational Christians who think that they can beat death by using the Rapture theory, they better think again, their lifespan is getting shorten because they're preachers of prosperity, self-esteem, and their so called "Once Saved, Always Saved (OSAS)" and their "Sinner's Prayer". Does L. Ray think that he can get to Heaven by following the commands of Christ without getting baptized? I think not because we are saved by baptism, obedience, faith, Grace, works, hope, repentance, and confession. Although I do admit that L. Ray is right that flesh is a literal term. After all, The world will end and since our flesh is material (or atoms), it will be destroyed. However, he has denied that we have a soul/spirit. If we don't have a soul/spirit, then we, according the Doctrine of Annhilationism, be destroyed. Flesh will be destroyed with literal fire, or in another case dissolved (if you have learned in the periodic table in your science class) in the Last Day.

God will save all mankind, seeing that He IS THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.

Jesus says "When I return, will I find any?" and the answer is only few who believes in Him, be baptized and follow his commandments. So no. Not ALL MANKIND.

God is LOVE (no really, He really is, He would never torture most of His creation in fire for all eternity).

God maybe LOVE, but He's not keeping His patience. Not everyone will call out on Him "Lord, Lord". L. Ray will be in so much fear and in eternal suffering when he hears God, "I never knew ye. Depart from me, ye worker of iniquity." I pray that he needs to find God and get baptized because he won't survive his prostate cancer battle.

Okay now here's a thing. He thinks that Jesus is going to throw those died who after they believed in Him, got baptized, and keep his commandments, into the Lake of Fire because He is consuming fire. If that's true, the believer's soul/Human spirit would be destroyed or never be remembered by God. L. Ray is teaching Annihilationism, which is a dangerous doctrine.

Next, he doesn't believe that baptism is required for remission of sins and salvation because it's a physical ritual and it's not biblical. So it's not required. Wrong. Baptism is a commandment from Jesus and so is the Lord's supper.

Thirdly, Smith believes that salvation is rewarded through Health and Safety. What a heretic. Health and safety is a work of man, not Christ.

And Last, L. Ray thinks that all humanity is The Beast or known as the Man of Sin. If that's true, then God would've created the Lake of Fire and put Adam, Eve, and the serpent, Satan there in the beginning, and let this whole world be nothing but an animal planet. Furthermore, The Man of Sin is Satan, not humankind. L. Ray is preaching nothing but a damnation doctrine, meaning that no humankind would enter heaven because God hates you and/or never (or wish would never) created you in the first place. Not true. Unless you deny Christ and refused to be baptized in water, then you are a beast. Health and safety is not going to change the way you are.

Do not listen to L. Ray Smith. Works will not save you. Do not let L. Ray tell you that you are the Beast and God hates you. His teachings are of Satan. People read his articles, and his teachings of damnation made them feel worse, they committed suicide. L. Ray Smith is going to answer to God for his damnation. Hell is eternal it's the same as the Lake of Fire. God loves you and doesn't want you to go there. As long as you follow the commandments of Jesus and be baptized with water and the Holy Spirit, you will go to Paradise/Heaven. There is no "Sheol", that Hebrew pagan term is OT law past tense, Jesus has done away with it. Abraham is now in Heaven. In the NT, the person who dies physically, that person is taken to Judgment to determine whether he/she goes to Paradise/Heaven or Lake of Fire/Hell depending if he/she follows the commandments of Christ or not.
