"Khapp is a more solid choice, wouldn't you say?" Making eye contact with Kij as you speak.
"Certainly he has the respect of all," Kij responds, diplomatically, after his customary pause.
"At this short notice, I will promote Khapp. No doubt Nern would make a good long term replacement." Kij seems satisfied. He asks the computer to bring up Khapp.
"First Engineer Khapp reporting, sir!"
"Khapp, I am promoting you to captain of the Claud for the duration of this mission."
With a look of surprise Khapp salutes you. "Thank you, sir! Is Captain Nuwhet alright, sir?"
"Nuwhet has been demoted due to inappropriate conduct whilst on call."
Shortly you brief Captains Khapp and Sozin on the mission and blast off! During mission hour 38 the Claud begins beaming across visuals of the stricken craft. The best reconnaissance equipment is on the Claud. The Jarif is the largest ship, with excellent laboratory facilities, and is an all round good ship. It carries spare fuel. Sozin's ship, Mortis, is your bodyguard; it boasts the LDG's longest range weaponary.
