Onezumi

Onezumi is the author and artist of the webcomic at Onezumi.com.
Onezumi is originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania but is now settled in New Jersey where she moved to go to college. She graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. degree in Women's Studies and also studied art at Carnegie Mellon University and Mason Gross School of the Arts.
Onezumi learned many of the techniques she uses to manage her artwork and comic output during the time she spent working for Disney on the cartoon show "Stanley". Many of the tutorials she posts on her Onezumi.com website deal with the business and digital art management ideas that are essential to professional art creation.
Onezumi, along with Harknell, the webmaster and developer of the Onezumi.com website, have been guests and panelists at most of the major Anime and Sci-fi cons in the Northeast, including Otakon, Katsucon, Balticon, Philcon, AnimeNext, Anime USA, MangaNext, and others.
Onezumi has also recently jumped into the blogging arena with the launch of her website www.Onezumiverse.com, which hosts her art portfolio, photography, sketch work, and video blog entries. It also contains a great deal of information on the other topic that Onezumi is strongly into: Heavy Metal.
Onezumi currently works in the IT field at a major Wireless provider.

- Onezumi is Oni's middle name. When asked what it means, she usually replies that, "[her] birth mother was a hippy."
- Contrary to what some people seem to think prior to meeting her, she is not actually insane like her comic character.
- Onezumi is a black belt in Okinawan Kempo/Thai kickboxing. She studied at a police training facility and helped form a self defense program aimed at women.
