Lord of Nothing

The Lord of Nothing is one of the Aspects of Lord Aki. Unlike most other Aspects, Aki doesn't "appear" as anything in this Aspect. He remains entirely invisible, and his presence can be deduced only by the radical effects it has on the perceptions of those nearby.

When the Lord of Nothing is nearby, the air seems to shiver as if in extreme heat, and fabulous landscapes shaped to perfectly suit the needs of whoever is looking at them unfold before the senses. Oases appear in the desert, hot springs in the arctic (though Aki doesn't go there often), tropical islands in the ocean, or cities in the jungle. These illusions have a great deal of physical presence: their food will nourish, their water will slake thirst, their weapons will cut. Disbelief in the whims of a god is generally impossible, though certain exceptional individuals have been known to manage it.

Achio is fond of luring people into Faerie under the guise of his mirages, feeding them on dreams and magic for months or years before allowing them to find their way back to Asriphil to die of starvation or old age.
