Description

The Cerneen (singular Cern) are a tall, muscular, short-lived race of quick learners and grunt laborers. Hairier and coarser than elves, who they most closely resemble, they have rounded ears and more rugged and animalistic features. Most males grow beards, especially those who haven't been civilized by their elven captors, and both sexes let their hair grow long and relatively untamed. Several tribes have feather or bone ornamentation as a common accessory, especially those tribes who openly revere their creator, Cernin, over the other gods. Tribal Cerneen wear tanned hides in colder areas and next to nothing in warmer ones.

In elven lands, the Cerneen tend to adopt elven styles of dress and hair, often trimming or shaving their facial and bodily hair.

Culture

The majority of the world's Cerneen population lives in the southeastern reaches of the eastern continent, in Pallon and Nere, though dense populations can also be found in the Wellian Isles.

Religion

Most Cerneen revere Cernin, the god of beasts, who created them. In tribal societies, worship of Monsos and Tyani, as well as Lin and Urgil. Civilized humans worship Gern.
