The Zokthran universe is a finite reality, but it is by no means a small one. The dome of heaven arches high over all creation, and the ancient stone of the voidcaves holds everything up like a death-soaked sponge, but in between them reality is divided into zones whose laws and natures differ. These zones are the planes. Few see all of them (or want to), but those who visit even one such foreign realm can be inspired or destroyed by the experience.
