The Kindler is one of the two Aspects adopted by Lady Anata, the goddess of love. When she takes this Aspect upon her, Anata appears as a statuesque woman with eyes of molten bronze and massive flaming wings. In her right hand she lifts a sinister harpoon twisted into a cruelly barbed from by Vornik, and in her left she holds the tightly coiled chain which is bound to its base.
The Kindler appears in person only to herald the arrival of a love which will ripple through history for centuries to come or to unleash insane destruction upon those who would prevent such a love from coming to fruition. The last recorded instance of either was her appearance in (and subsequent obliteration of) the goblin city of Kruldik seven hundred years ago.
