Tig is the name used by every member of a bloodline of Sandslashes owned by [[User:Wary|Wary]]. They all share common features: the skill of cooking, a love for girls and saving them, and the splitting of Light and Dark halves. These halves gained great power over generations and are now named Bobino and Yafor, respectively. Also, it's typical for a new Tig to enter a story in a malfunctioned time machine. A usual Tig's fighting skills include swords, Sandslash attacks, Light or Dark attacks, and cooking tools as weapons. Also, recently he's been known to have an Australian accent. | Tig is the name used by every member of a bloodline of Sandslashes owned by [[User:Wary|Wary]]. Tig I in Hachacha
Once upon a time, Tig, a Sandshrew of Hachacha, was a rather ordinary character whose job was cooking. But one day, his rather boring role was utterly changed by the arrival of the Black Fog. It stirred up evil intentions in the minds and transformed him into Dark Tig. After a violent rampage, the Fog faded away, leaving him as Light Tig to restore the balance. In his shame, he left the island of Hachacha.
He returned to his home village known as Scarlet Cove, only to find that his uncle's ghost was burning it all down. This uncle had been pushed into a fire and killed in an accident, and wanted to exact his revenge. Light Tig tried to save who he could, but was unable to do so. Meanwhile, Dark Tig was trying to destroy his uncle: the two halves were separating.
Light Tig returned to Hachacha while learning of his Light powers, and used them to save the Blaziken Phoenix from the possession of an evil being known only as "The Rock". When Dark Tig also returned, the two halves fought each other constantly in several very predictable battles. Eventually someone created another Sandshrew named Kate who was basically a female clone of Tig and they lived happily ever after.
Or not. BRIDGE TO POLOMO: Dark Tig finally got sick of Light's interference and found a time machine. His idea was to go far enough in the future that Light wouldn't be able to bother him. But he ended up in Polomo in a place where his time machine couldn't open. Meanwhile, Light Tig decided to erase his memories and restore his youth, then have his own son raise him as a father. This extended his life and finished the explanation of his life in Polomo.
Tig I in Polomo
Wary had thought of Polomo as a replacement for Hachacha; however, most of the population was also very concerned with canon. Reusing Tig resulted in needing an explanation. So Tig ventured deep into a cave with his narcoleptic Eevee girlfriend, Alyssa (although this bit is a bit conflicted in memory--they may have gotten together later). When they found a large machine and broke into it, Dark Tig, now known simply as Dark, escaped it and started fighting Tig.
After several climactic fights, Tig was about to die when Dark realized he couldn't destroy his other half without destroying himself. So, Dark fused his being back into Tig, which started the practice of the two splitting and fusing at seemingly random times. Tig suddenly gained all the memories Dark had and pieced together his past. But since all that stuff happened before this it is classified under the Hachacha section anyway.
Tigs II-IV
Tig II was referenced as a crucial part of his father's life. This son of Tig I and Kate also raised Tig I again in the transition from Hachacha to Polomo. He then went on to appear in a failed minor RP. He lacked a known girlfriend whereas his father had two in his appearances, leaving the true nature of Tig III up to debate.
Tig III found the shores of Xeplosion Forest at around the same time Tig II appeared in an RP. He saved the Eevee July from her corrupted brother August and may have set up his restaurant in her house. July as she was becoming an Umbreon turned out to be something called the Fire Gate, while Tig III found himself as the Earth Gate. These two did not apparently mate, but they had two children: Tigarun (Tig IV) and Inu. Dark Tig, now known as Yafor, rarely appeared in this generation.
Tigarun and Inu were as close as a brother and sister could be and tended to spend lots of time together in random little adventures. They went to school in the rebuilt village of Scarlet Cove (which was another little failed RP) and learned a great deal about the Tigs' counterparts in another dimension. The Wary's Dimension Tig was later renamed Matt and given a very different personality, but the connections have not lost canonity.
In Top Story
In Top Story 9, a total of four main variations of Tig appeared (not counting different halves). Tig IX was the main one that joined the group in Part 2 in his conventional time machine. It was in the making of this part that Light Tig's name was established as Bobino. He got a full share of attitude and battle moves as the group tried to stop Team Rocket from getting Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. He personally freed Azelf from Giovanni's clutches.
When Nocktor escaped through the powers of Palkia and Dialga for the first time, they ran into Tig VI. It was 992 years in the future, but of course time doesn't apply to Tigs since time machines are part of their being or something. Also among the varied host of characters in that time was the very, very old Bobino XX. There is also a sort of unconfirmed relationship between Tig VI and a Mawile named Mawlee. Yafor XX turns out to be the leader of the group's first arena opponents, and with his split beams it's thought that there may have been up to six Tig-half variations on that battlefield.
The main group separated from the people of year 3000, and Tig IX was just another main character for most of the remaining Top Story 9. However, it's notable that in Chapter 9, the alternate-culture version of Tig, New York Tig, appeared with the alternate-culture group. He explained to the original group the 1% chance that time will break in any time warp, sending people outside of time. Often being a victim of time mess-ups himself, Tig knows this very well.
Non-Canon
Tig XI appeared in Nintendo Anecdote 3, trying to get with Yttik. Also, in the Character Switch RP that mostly failed, Topmonhit controlled one that was referred to as Tig XYZWHATEVERROMANNUMERALITWASNOW.
