Raiku entered the tournament to defeat Chaos, who was his nemesis. Raiku finally defeats Chaos once and for all, and collects the prize money given to him by Chaos's wealthy enemies. Everything seems good for Raiku, but caught off-guard, he falls into a trapdoor and is kidnapped by an evil emperor named Shao Kahn.
