Transcript

{Cut to The Store. Alfonzo and Ashley are shopping}

ASHLEY: Thanks again for helping me shop. Mom's busy today so I had to take care of shopping today.

ALFONZO: Hey it's no problem. Any time.

ASHLEY: Thanks {Kisses Alfonzo on the cheek} When she gets wrapped up in business crap, it like takes over her life.

ALFONZO: Business? What's going on with the apartments?

ASHLEY: Might be getting a new resident staying on the first floor.

ALFONZO: What? Really?

ASHLEY: Yeah. She got the call last night. They're going to check it out today.

ALFONZO: Today? Uh oh.

ASHLEY: Why? What's wrong?

{Cut to Dan's Apartment. Ert, Dan, and Pete are messing around with the refridgerator/time machine thingy}

ERT: If my calculations are correct, we should be able to target the year 1936 and pull your past self into the present.

DAN: Sweet deals! This is gonna be crazy awesome.

PETE: Wait. Won't that like affect the past or something? Like blow up the space-time continuum or explode the universe?

ERT: Nah. Thanks to my amazingness, I've created a program to prevent that.

DAN: Great. Now turn it on!!

{Ert types in the year 1936 on the console and presses a few buttons}

ERT: Run sequence: "Retrieval". Target: "Peterson, Daniel"

{The machine opens up to reveal the time portal and it begins to flash. Alfonzo bursts through the front door and runs into the kitchen}

ALFONZO: WAIT! Guys, stop!

ERT: Why? Messing around with this kinda stuff is what keeps people watching the show!

DAN: Yeah, butt out! I wanna meet me again!

PETE: And me.

DAN: Yeah! {To Ert} Hey, Ert. Were tacos invented back then?

ERT: Dunno.

DAN: Maybe we can find Paco too!

ALFONZO: No! Turn it off! Your gonna scare away people that might possibly be more intelligent than you! {Pauses} Actually... they're almost definitely smarter than you guys.

DAN: What do you mean?

ALFONZO: Someone might be renting downstairs!

DAN: WHAT?! Stop the machine!

{Ert turns off the machine}

DAN: You mean to tell me that there might be other people living downstairs if they like it down there?

ALFONZO: They might be our age. And they might play instruments...

DAN: {Stares into space} Ska band...

PETE: Dude that's sweet. We gotta go check em out.

ALFONZO: No! Just stay up here and don't be too loud. We want them to feel welcome, not terrified for their lives.

DAN: Are you gonna go meet them?

ALFONZO: Yes.

DAN: No fair! I wanna meet em too!

ALFONZO: Dude I'll bring them up here later, just chill out.

DAN: Alright.

ALFONZO: Good. I'll see you later then.

{Alfonzo leaves. Silence for a few seconds, then Dan turns to Ert}

DAN: Fire it up.

ERT: Sweet. {Ert turns the machine back on}

{Cut to the Vacant Apartment downstairs. The door opens and two guys walk in. They're both college aged}

GEORGE: This is pretty sweet. I could live here for a while.

JAMES: Yeah. Once we seal the deal with the landlady, I'll call Thomas and Andrew. They'll love it here.

{Ashley and Alfonzo walk in}

ASHLEY: Hi there. I'm Ashley, the landlady's daughter. This is my boyfriend, Alfonzo. Him and his brother live upstairs.

JAMES: Nice to meet you two. You look like a cool kid, Alfonzo. Can't wait to meet you're brother.

ALFONZO: Thanks. But I'll save the "pleasure" of meeting Dan for later. Right now I'll let you get settled before I let him torture you.

GEORGE: I'm sure he's not that bad.

{An explosion is heard from upstairs. Alfonzo and Ashley look at each other nervously}

JAMES: What's he doing up there?

ALFONZO: From the explosion, he either blew up the TV or tried to cook.

GEORGE: Sounds fun. Wanna go check it out?

JAMES: Sure, why not. Can we?

ALFONZO: If you feel up to it, I guess. Just let me go up there and see what they did.

{Cut to Dan's Apartment. Alfonzo runs in angrily}

ALFONZO: What the hell did you guys do?!

{On the couch Pete, Ert, Dan, and a 1936 version of Dan are sitting on the couch drinking tea}

DAN: {Calmly} Ah Alfonzo. You're just in time.

ALFONZO: In time for what?

PETE: Tea time.

{Alfonzo leans against the wall frustrated as the scene fades to black}
