== Host Applications ==

So far 3 teams have made applications to host the 2009 Worm Cup

*Flytippers [[Image:Turkey.png]]/Greek Legends [[Image:Greece.png]] (Joint Hosting)
*Nightriders [[Image:Kenya.png]]
*Deceptacons [[Image:Norway.png]]/Swedes [[Image:Sweden.png]]/Vikings [[Image:Finland.png]] (Joint Hosting)

=== Flytippers/Greek Legends ===
Turkey and Greece announced on April 18th that they would like to continue their joint host bid and carry it on to the 2009 Worm Cup.  Both teams would host matches and automatically qualify, so it would be even.

=== Nightriders ===
On May 1st Kenya announced it would like to host the 2009 Worm Cup.  This would be the first time an African team would host the Worm Cup if they win their bid.

=== Deceptacons/Swedes/Vikings ===
On May 3rd the main 3 Scandanavian teams all decided to have a joint bid to host the Worm Cup.  As all three countries would qualify, this would be a Worm Cup first time if they win their bid.
