Prince Bertrand of Orléans-Braganza (born February 2, 1941), whose baptismal name is Bertrand Maria José Pio Januário Miguel Gabriel Raphael Gonzaga de Orléans e Bragança, is a member of the Imperial House of Brazil, the younger brother of Emperor Luís I, and Brazil's Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

The third son of Emperor Pedro III and Princess Maria Elisabeth of Bavaria, his elder brothers are, in order, Emperor Luís I and Prince Eudes Maria, who renounced his dynastic rights to the Brazilian throne in order to marry a commoner.

When he was 18 years old, he went to São Paulo, where he achieved a bachelor's degree in Law from the Saint Francis Square (Portuguese: Largo de São Francisco), the law school of the University of São Paulo, in 1964.

During his father's reign, he served in a number of diplomatic missions abroad, including a stint as Ambassador to France (1977-1979). He also regularly lectures at universities throughout the world on issues ranging from religion to politics. A seasoned and skilled diplomat, he is regarded as one of the Emperor's closest advisers on foreign policy, making him the logical choice for Brazil's ambassador to the UN.

Being a traditionalist Catholic and a member of Tradition, Family, and Property, Prince Bertrand is not married and has no issue. He speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish, and French, and rudimentary English. His hobbies include horseback riding, hunting, fishing, and skiing. He is also a licensed pilot, and served a brief stint in the Brazilian Imperial Air Force as a young man. He is the recipient of numerous medals and honors for outstanding service to the Empire.
