Contest

The contest begins with several people playing an Xbox 360. The first one to successfully get their system to display the Red Ring Of Death wins.

If a player would like to play online, then Microsoft will give the player a 15 day trial to XBox Live.

2007

The first Red Ring of Death-o-Rama was on July 14, 2007 in Los Angeles. The winner was American, John Doe with a time of 10 hours, 43 minutes. Doe won $27 and several smaller prizes. At the time, Doe was playing Gears of War online.

Controversy

This contest resulted in Doe with a non working Xbox 360. Doe was not happy and ended up filing a complaint with Microsoft. Microsoft ended up having to repair Doe's console for free. This resulted in Microsoft having to change the prize for 2008.
