The University of Virginia, or UVA, seems to be a popular breeding ground for WMACS counselors, as well as popular college destination for former campers. 2006 was a landmark year in that over half of the counselorship (9 out of 14, including quasi-counselor Justine Kwan) were UVA students or alumni.

The above WMACSers were also very active in the Chinese-American community, as June, Bernie, Su-Cha, and Betty have all served as presidents of the Chinese Student Association (CSA).
