As opposed to Traditional Dance, Modern Dance teachers campers contemporary dance routines for popular music (both American and Chinese). Debuted as a class in 2003 because it was something that counselors could teach, as no outside teachers were hired that year. Songs/dances that have been taught in Modern Dance:
- N'Sync - It's Gonna Be Me (Younger campers in 2003)
- Misteeq - Scandalous (Older campers in 2003)
- Elva Hsiao - Tomorrow (Younger campers in 2005)
- Wang Lee Hom - Ya Birthday (Older campers in 2005)
- Yuki - Fantastic (younger campers 2000 [though the class wasn't formally known as "Modern Dance", all campers in 2006)
Teachers:
- 2003 - James Lien, Glenda Fu, Evelyn Chou
- 2005 - Su-Cha Kang, assisted by Jeffrey Ian Chen
- 2006 - June Liang, Su-Cha Kang
