Gao Lao Shi taught Folk Sports at WMACS in 2006. Folk Sports consisted mostly of Chinese yo-yo, Gao Lao Shi's expertise, though some campers also had the opportunity to jump rope. Her assistants in 2006 were counselors Barry Huang and Eric Lui.

From Gao Lao Shi's presence spawned the infamous "LAO SHI HAO RE" and "I LOVE YOYO LAO SHI".
