Born Simon Tunnell, 1971, in the small town of Saltburn. Located in the northeast of England, ewktwk first started his love of music by listening to artists like The Specials, Bob Marley, The Selecter, Madness, many more 2Tone Ska Tunes. Although by the time he started to make his own music his inspiration had changed to artists like Dreadzone, Zion Train, Pendulum, Excision, Skrillex. Latching onto the by now popular Dubstep scene, ewktwk had the desire to produce his own blend and ideas into this genre. As an independtant artist ewktwk first set up his small studio with borrowed and second-hand equipment. This now got him set up to start creating his first Dubstep tune, although this tune was somewhat raw it began to get popular locally. 'Rattler' was soon a popular Cell Phone ringtone.
