A douche is an object used in feminine hygiene. The word itself is French and means shower. Modern slang has turned the word into a derogatory comment meaning jerk. This term to describe people grew in group popularity mostly during senior year, propagated primarily by Holly. In recent times, 'douche' is more commonly used by Matt. Usage of the term may possibly be traced back to a comedy bit by Dane Cooke (one of the few quotes by him that are still tolerable, as everything else has been done to death) in which he says there is always one person in a group of friends that nobody likes- "Karen is always a bag of douche".

Matt and Holly have reached an out-of-court agreement to have joint custody over the word and are both allowed to use it on a regular basis. 'It' being the word, not the object.
