Second Russia Civil War

The Second Russian Civil War began in 2018 when Siberia declared its independence from Russia following the death of Putin and lasted until 2021 when Siberia and Russia executed a nuclear exchange. The war caused tens of millions of casualties, more than any war since World War Two and is only the second conflict in which nuclear weapons were used.

Sergei Eisenkov was Russia's ambassador to the United Nations at the time of the nuclear exchange between Siberia and Russia. This attack on Russia, and the associated deaths of most members of the Russian government, made Eisenkov the most senior surviving member of the Russian government and led him to claim to be the next President of Russia.
