Political Career: Attorney General
After 5 successful years as District Attorney, Comfort decided to run for Missouri State Senate. First facing a conservative Republican, Marcus Jamble, and a moderate Democrat, Harry Deant, he was able to convince the second to drop out, endorsing him. In election day, he defeated Jamble by a high margin, getting the vote of most democrats and independents, and some Republicans.
In 2017, Comfort succesfully ran for Missouri Attorney General, defeating his two rivals by a close margin.
With much popularity gained, he was elevated to Governor of the Mississippi Valley in 2020, with the resignment of Roberta Christmas
