Political Career

After 5 successful years as District Attorney, Comfort decided to run for Missouri State Senate. First facing a conservative Republican, Marcus Jamble, and a moderate Democrat, Harry Deant, he was able to convince the second to drop out, endorsing him. In election day, he defeated Jamble by a high margin, getting the vote of most democrats and independents, and some Republicans.

With much popularity gained, he was elevated to Governor of the Mississippi Valley in 2020, with the resignment of Roberta Christmas
