Marcus T. Hamilton (born May 11, 1970) is the United States Representative for the U.S. state of Kentucky's 5th District congressional seat. He also served as a prosecuting attorney in Kentucky, after discharge as a combat-wounded officer of the United States Navy.

Biographical
U.S. Rep. Marcus T. Hamilton was born in May 1970, in Somerset, Ky., the only son of Dr. Robert Hamilton, a pediatric cardiologist, and Adrienne Hamilton, an elected prosecuting attorney.
After graduating with his law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1997, Hamilton joined the U.S. Navy and served in combat roles in the Persian Gulf. In 2004, while serving as an officer aboard the USS Ronald Reagan, Lt. Cdr. Hamilton was wounded in a training accident and subsequently was reassigned to serve in the Judge Advocate General's office. After a year as a JAG attorney, Hamilton resigned his commission and moved to Richmond, Va., to open a law practice with a fellow retiring JAG. Hamilton and Crossworth specialized in maritime law, and operated until 2008, when Crossworth died of a heart attack.
Following the dissolution of the law practice in 2009, Hamilton moved to Pikeville, Ky., and was elected to serve as the local prosecutor; in 2010 he married a local judge, Gabrielle Shintos. In 2014, he was elected to Congress, representing Kentucky's 5th.
Rep. Hamilton is an avid outdoors enthusiast and sailor, and life-long Catholic. In his spare time, he volunteers in his local parish and for Habitat for Humanity. He lives in Pikeville with his wife and twin daughters, Alexis and Jenna.
