Daniel Lee Hood, commonly referred to as Hood, joined USGovSim on April 1st, 2007, near the beginning of Reset 6. He first joined as Daniel Hood of Kentucky in 2010 of Reset 6. He became Deputy House Majority Whip for Greg Willis (R-MO) until becoming House Majority Whip after the resignation of Willis. While he managed to pass the agenda of then President Elizabeth Warren, who was run by Rick, House control was wrestled by the Democrats. Whether people blamed Hood for losing the house or not is still a question, but he was defeated in the elections for the next House Minority Whip, gaining only 2 votes. He also lost the race of Appalachia Lieutenant Governor to Gabby Bridges in 2012, along with Governor Vandenberg who lost his race against Whitney Mason. For a period of time, Hood served as Ranking Member of the House AGR committee before leaving the game in late 2013. He did not return until 2017. He used Klaus Guderian as his character until he changed his mind and went back to the Ohio Valley with Alfred Leonidas Hood. After Vandenberg won his race for APP Gov in 2020, he appointed Hood to his vacant Senate seat. He managed to defeat Harkins in 2022 and served the rest of his Senate term till the transition to Reset 7.

Hood is a resident of Bowling Green, KY and currently is a student at Western Kentucky University.
