Archibald Jones (born January 11, 1972) is the United States Representative for the U.S. state of Pennsylvania's 12th District.

Early Life and Career

Archibald was born in Johnstown, Pennslyvania on January 11th 1972. Growing up in Johnstown he was taught moral and social values through his parents and the Catholic Church. As a youngster he developed a love for sports and the outdoors. Archibald's family was poor but with the help of the church he found a way to get his catholic education. He went to school at Visitation Church of the Blessed Mother, the local parish school, he played football and basketball there and lead them to a parochial league champion ship in both sports his 8th grade year. Then in high school his interest in politics was sparked by Rush Limbaugh and from then on his life ambition was to be a politician and make a difference in the world. Archibald continued to excel in sports including baseball, his favorite. At Bishop McCort High School Archibald lead his team to a State Champion ship in each sport his senior year. But these accolades didn't stop here as Archibald graduated from in the top ten of his class and was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh on a football/baseball scholarship. with the intent to major in political science.

Archibald went to Pitt and was a 4 time All American Pitcher and could have easily went professional but he had his country in his heart. While at the university Archibald had slight altercations with his left leaning professors and earned a reputation as a staunch conservative. These altercations however did not affect his performance in class were he graduated as salutatorian, with a BA in Political Science. Archibald then moved on to bigger and better things. In 1997 he graduated with a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.

Archibald then moved back to his home of Johnstown to severe the people with this great education he had earned. Archibald got a job immediately after returning home with a prestigious law firm in the city. In 2003 the firm owners were looking to sell the firm, the relationship Archibald had made with these people lead them to offer the firm to him and he took it without hesitation. Then in early in 2007 the current congressman from Pennsylvania's 12th District had a tragic accident and died while serving. With the pressure of the towns people Archibald ran in the special election he was uncontested.

In 2010 Congressman Jones ran for the Alleghenies Senate Seat A and lost to John Kent(OH-D), 55%-44%. This defeat has not stopped Jones as he lives by what his father told him, "To succeed you must first fail."

House of Representatives, 2007-Present
