Dan Morey commonly referred to simply as Morey, joined USGovSim in the later half of reset five. He ran his first election in the early years of reset six as Daniel Garrison, a Republican from Maryland against the experienced veteran player Vangie. He played as a Republican for most of the reset, his most notable character having been Tennessee Senator Daniel James Morey, former House Minority Leader, Minority Whip, Senator and GOP Member Services Director, who also ran in the 2020 Republican presidential primaries of the reset, winning the South Carolina primary.

At the beginning of reset six Morey began as a Democrat, playing Gulf Coast Gubernatorial candidate Daniel Walker Morey. Having lost the election he returned to playing a Republican, Senator Daniel J. Morey of the Great Lakes. He switched to become a Democrat mid-reset endorsing Jack Rockefeller, played by Rick.

Morey is known to be an avid role-player, most notably known for the vast Morey-Clan of Reset Six.

He currently plays as Daniel Morales, a Democrat from California.
